Massage & Stress

Stress activates the fight or flight response which is important in keeping us alive.

Prolonged stress with adrenaline coursing through your body is very damaging. It causes headaches, fatigue, heartburn, indigestion, insomnia, depression, raisied blood pressure and tense muscles. Cholesterol levels rise and the immune system is suppressed which can lead to more serious illnesses. Massage releases stress and helps minimise the above symptoms.

Touch is essential for stimulating our nervous system and promoting healthy bodies both physically and mentally. Touch is an instinctive, natural language that we all speak and understand. A structured form of touch has been developed in every culture, developing different forms of massage.
